The 31st meeting of the Wireless World Research Forum (WWRF)
will be held on 22 - 24 October, 2013.
The theme of the meeting is "Wireless Enabled Smart Societies in the 2020's".

The event is organised by the University of British Columbia, Canada. The venue of the meeting is
UBC Robson Square.

Free registrations for invited speakers, student grant recipients and designated representatives of WWRF institutional members will be processed manually. Please send email to request your free registration following this link.

Student registration is only applicable to undergraduate or postgraduate university students. If you register as a student, you are required to prove your current student status by showing a student card, a official letter of certification or another other appropriate document when you pick up your registration materials.

Student Grants

 

Funding is available to support a number of students presenting papers at the meeting. Application for student funding must be provided with paper submission. The level of grant will depend on available funds, the quality of the paper and the student's country of residence.

Registration fee includes

 

The registration fee includes the attendance of the meeting, lunches, coffee breaks and dinner. Travel costs, hotel accommodation and insurances are not included in the fee. The registration fee also includes free attendance at the joint SmartGridComm - WWRF workshop on Monday 21 Oct., for those who pre-register for the workshop by 6 October, 2013. Pre-registration is mandatory since you will receive a special badge at the Smart Grid Comm venue to admit you to the workshop.

Payment
All payments should be made in advance in CAD when making the registration. After registering online, you will receive an instant confirmation of successful registration to your email address. Please note that all payments should be free of bank handling charges!

Cancellation Policy
Full refunds, less 50.00 CAD processing fee per registrant, will be granted to cancellations received in writing or via email until September 24, 2013. Cancellations received after September 24, 2013 and up until October 8, 2013 are subject to a 50.00 CAD service charge and a 50 % refund. Refunds will not be given for cancellation after October 7, 2013. Refunds will not be given to registrants who do not attend without cancelling in advance (no shows). If WWRF cancels a single session for any reason, they assume no responsibility for non refundable airline tickets or other travel costs. WWRF will make every effort to immediately notify registrants of a cancellation. WWRF reserves the right to cancel any single session that has insufficient enrolment.

Visa Requirements

 

If you require a visa to visit Canada for WWRF-31 (see Citizenship and Immigration Canada website), please request an invitation letter from UBC/ICICS as soon as possible by email, since visa processing can take up to 4 months. In the email, provide your name, email, affiliation, nationality, date of birth, sex, passport number, and your intended role in WWRF-31 (steering board member, invited speaker, work group chair, work group member, author/presenter of <paper title>, WWRF individual member, employee of WWRF corporate/institutional member). If none of the above roles fits you, please register for the meeting before requesting for an invitation letter.
