Welcome to Vancouver and the 31st Meeting of WWRF

On behalf of your host the Institute for Computing, Information and Cognitive Systems (ICICS) and the organizers, we are delighted to welcome you to Vancouver and the 31st Meeting of the Wireless World Research Forum (WWRF 31). We feel privileged to be given the opportunity to organize and host this important meeting, and look forward to your visit to our beautiful city.

We have assembled an impressive roster of high-profile speakers from industry, academia, and national laboratories to enlighten us about this year’s theme, “Wireless-Enabled Smart Societies in the 2020s”. We are also taking advantage of the fact that IEEE SmartGridComm 2013 will be held in Vancouver at the same time, by organizing a joint half-day workshop.

In addition to a rich technical program, we have put together a social program you are sure to enjoy. We are also certain that you will find Vancouver’s cosmopolitan offerings in a unique natural setting to your liking.

We wish to express our deepest gratitude towards all those who have helped organize and ensure the success of WWRF 31. We would also like to thank our corporate sponsors, and the University of British Columbia for graciously providing us with a convenient downtown venue.

See you soon in Vancouver!
